Zebra TC501: Professional terminal for modern logistics

The Zebra TC501 is a rugged mobile terminal designed for harsh work environments such as warehouses, manufacturing, retail and logistics centres. It combines a robust design with the power of an intelligent device, enabling efficient real-time process control.

  1. Design and durability

  • At first glance, the TC51 looks like a regular phone with a 5-inch display. But don’t be fooled.
  • Drop Resistance: can withstand repeated drops to concrete from a height of 1.2 metres.
  • IP67 protection: the device is completely dustproof and can survive short-term immersion in water.
  • Gorilla Glass: the display and scanner window are protected against scratches and breakage.

  1. High-end scanning

  • Unlike conventional mobile phones that scan through the camera (which is slow and impractical), Zebra has an integrated professional 2D scanner.
  • Reads damaged, dirty or poorly printed barcodes right the first time.
  • Thanks to the wide working range, the worker does not have to “aim” quite accurately, which significantly speeds up the work in logistics.

  1. Power and battery

  • The terminal runs on Android, which means that employees need almost no training – operation is intuitive.
  • PowerPrecision+ battery: Provides power for an entire work shift (up to 14 hours). In addition, the battery is replaceable on the fly without shutting down the machine.
  • Fast connectivity:High-end Wi-Fi with fast roaming support ensures your connection won’t be interrupted, even when moving around a large warehouse.

  1. Mobility DNA

  • Zebra is adding a software package to the hardware called Mobility DNA. This turns standard Android into an enterprise system:
  • DataWedge: sends scanned data directly to your applications without the need for programming.
  • StageNow: Allows you to configure hundreds of devices at once by simply scanning a barcode.
  • Enhanced security: regular updates that regular Android phones often don’t get.
