Customer Request

DSV Solutions Slovakia needed to streamline the process of final packaging of goods for its customer. There are several packaging options (depending on the specific customer’s requirements), and the process includes an outgoing inspection of the final pallet. The requirements also included the collection of data on overall production performance, production traceability, and the performance of individual employees.

Solution

BARTECH SLOVAKIA has many years of experience implementing solutions for manufacturing and logistics. We have channeled this experience into the design of the LOGMAN solution, which precisely meets the customer’s needs. Through expert consultations, we assisted the customer with the design of the hardware itself and also helped propose adjustments to work processes based on our experience from other projects.

Work Process

The necessary pallets are retrieved from the warehouse and delivered to the production line according to the production order. There may be two or more pallets on a single line. Before starting the line, the supervisor specifies what is to be produced, assigns workers to the line, and inspects the incoming pallets in accordance with established regulations. If everything is in order, the supervisor authorizes production. During production, the inspector records the production process, downtime, defect rates, and other parameters. The finished products are placed on the output pallet, where the inspector also checks that everything is in order according to the regulations. In the event of a nonconformity, the inspector records the type of nonconformity…

Everything is recorded in ONLINE mode using industrial tablets with built-in 1D/2D barcode scanners from ZEBRA Technologies, which are integrated with our LOGMAN application.

Managers thus have immediate access to data and can respond effectively to any outages or changes. The LOGMAN system also provides information on the current status of production, order fulfillment, employee performance, and more.
