The MODO – Mobile documents application is designed to perform data collection in the warehouse and store via 1D or 2D barcode. It replaces the older Mobile Warehouse solution, which was designed for Windows terminals. MODO works on new, modern mobile devices with Android 5.1 and higher operating system.
With the application you can create electronic warehouse documents such as receipt, issue, transfer between warehouses, current inventory, or so-called. Receiving, dispensing and inventory according to the list and also create received orders in the field.
It will make your work in the warehouse easier, more accurate and faster. MODO does not replace your warehouse system, but uses your warehouse system data, especially stock cards, companies, batches and orders received and issued. When working with the terminal, you only load the goods codes and enter the other necessary data via the keyboard. Finally, the data is synchronised over your Wi-Fi or your mobile operator’s data network. Directly from the portable terminal you can also print a list of issued, received or ordered items on Honeywell and Zebra printers that are connected via Bluetooth, WiFi or LAN. With the MPrint add-on application, it is also possible to print labels for marking goods or shipping labels for boxes and pallets directly from the terminal.
The availability of individual MODO functions must always be verified according to the warehouse system used. Not every system fully supports all MODO capabilities. Therefore, always consult the deployment of the application with our sales department or your warehouse system supplier.

Data structure – input catalogs and output documents.
For proper operation MODO requires at least the input dials STOCKS, COMPANIES and CARDS. And if you also want to use the function of receiving and dispensing by list or batch, you need to populate the ORDER and Batch dials as well. The output data files are RECEIPT, OUTPUT, ORDER, INVENTORY and TRANSFER. The application allows you to work with normal blind inventory as well as inventory by list.
MODO data structure is compatible with the previous solution Mobile warehouse MSU. Input dials and output data files are in CSV/TXT text format. Most warehouse systems can work with this format, so linking to your information system will not be a problem. In addition, you have the option of saving output documents in a structured XML format or directly into SQL tables.
Communication interface
The MODO application communicates with your computer over a wireless network. A web service is used to transfer and synchronise data between the PC and the mobile device. That’s why in the MODO installation package you will find not only the Android application and documentation itself, but also the XAMPP web service installation file. The behavior of the web service is controlled by a PHP script, which is editable. You can easily set your own path to input dials, orders and output documents. In addition, you can also edit their names to the form required by your information system. If your work in the warehouse requires the deployment of several warehouse staff, it is possible to define access to orders separately for each of them. Of course, you can also take advantage of installation and configuration by our technicians at your location or by remote connection.
If your information system supports it, MODO can also work in On-line mode, when each created document is automatically synchronized with the information system database after closing without operator intervention and immediately displayed in a specific IS section. An indisputable advantage of the online solution is the display of the actual quantity available at any moment of work.

Licensing of the application
The SW license is allocated for each specific Android device separately. The validity of the license is verified on the license server when the application is started. You need to be able to access the internet either through the company WiFi network or through your mobile operator’s network. The advantage of online licensing is especially easier and faster license transfer when migrating to a new device. It can also be used as a temporary license when renting this solution, including the mobile terminal, for the duration of the inventory.
