The MODO application – Mobile Documents is designed for data collection in warehouses and stores using 1D or 2D barcodes. It replaces the older solution, Mobile Warehouse, which was intended for Windows terminals. MODO operates on new, modern mobile devices with Android 5.1 and higher. With the MODO application, you can create electronic warehouse documents such as receipts, issues, transfers between warehouses, regular inventories, and also receipts, issues, and inventories by list, as well as create received orders in the field. It will facilitate, streamline, and speed up your work in the warehouse. MODO does not replace your warehouse system but utilizes data from your warehouse system, primarily stock cards, companies, batches, and received and issued orders.
When using the terminal, you simply scan product codes and enter other necessary data via the keyboard. Data is then synchronized through your Wi-Fi or mobile data network. From the portable terminal, you can also print lists of issued, received, or ordered items on Honeywell and Zebra printers connected via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or LAN. With the add-on application MPrint, you can also print labels for product identification or shipping labels for boxes and pallets directly from the terminal.
The availability of individual functions in the MODO application should always be verified according to the warehouse system used, as not every system fully supports all MODO options. Therefore, always consult the deployment of the application with our sales department or your warehouse system supplier.

Data structure – input catalogs and output documents.
For proper operation, MODO requires the minimum input catalogs: WAREHOUSES, COMPANIES, and CARDS. If you want to use the receipt and issue functions by list or batch, you also need to populate the ORDER and BATCH catalogs. The output data files are RECEIPT, ISSUE, ORDER, INVENTORY, and TRANSFER. The application allows for blind regular inventory as well as inventory by list. The MODO data structure is compatible with the previous Mobile Warehouse MSU solution. The input catalogs and output data files are in text CSV/TXT format. Most warehouse systems can work with this format, so integrating it with your information system won’t be an issue. Additionally, you have the option to save output documents in a structured XML format or directly into SQL tables.
Communication interface
The MODO application communicates with the computer via a wireless network. Data transfer and synchronization between the PC and the mobile device use a web service. Therefore, in the MODO installation package, you will find not only the Android application and documentation but also the installation file for the XAMPP web service. The behavior of the web service is controlled by a PHP script, which is editable. You can easily set your own path to the input catalogs, orders, and output documents. Additionally, you can modify their names to fit the requirements of your information system. If your warehouse work requires deploying multiple warehouse staff, it is possible to define access to orders separately for each of them. Of course, you can also use installation and configuration by our technicians at your location or via remote access. If your information system supports it, MODO can operate in online mode, where each created document is automatically synchronized with the database of the information system after being finalized, without operator intervention, and is immediately displayed in the specific section of the IS. An undeniable advantage of the online solution is the display of the actual available quantity at any moment during work.

Licensing of the application
The software license is assigned to each specific Android device individually. The validity of the license is verified on the licensing server when the application is launched. Internet access is required, either through a corporate Wi-Fi network or via a mobile network. The advantage of online licensing is primarily the simpler and faster transfer of the license when migrating to a new device. It can also be used as a temporary license when renting this solution, including the mobile terminal, during inventory. Want to know more? Contact our sales department. : obchod@bartech.sk
