The SW Pick To Light – Assembly Control is designed for production lines, where it assists workers in assembling the final product. It reduces errors caused by using incorrect parts or their color variants.
How does it work?
Different types of final products move sequentially along the production line. For each product type, various operations and component insertions are defined. To prevent mix-ups, the application displays on the operator’s screen a photo of the component along with a description of the operation to be performed, based on the scanned barcode of the product. Simultaneously, the corresponding output relay activates, illuminating an LED light above the box from which the component should be taken. The operator confirms the assembly of the component by pressing a pedal, which also triggers the output signal to move the conveyor.
What does it bring us?
It brings a reduction in errors during assembly, an increase in work quality, and a faster execution of individual operations. The application can be deployed at any point in the production process, and the display unit can be of any size.
What are the permissions?
The application has two levels of access – User and Administrator. The Administrator has the ability to edit parts and final products, as well as assign parts to specific products. They can upload images to the database and enter the shelf number for the component stock. The User does not have any rights; in this mode, they only scan the barcode of the final product and confirm the insertion of the component.
